About Hong Kong:

• This Wikipedia page lists Species First Discovered in Hong Kong, with endemic species asterisked.
• Hong Kong's Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department (AFCD) has a database of plants and animals that lists information about each species
• HK Wildlife.net is a primarily Chinese-language forum in which nature enthusiasts talk about animals and plants that they've encountered
• HK Nature.net was created as a collaboration between the AFCD and local environment entities. It has information about Hong Kong wildlife, plants and country parks.
• HK Outdoors is a great resource on Hong Kong's country parks and nature trails created by prominent local conservationist Dr. Martin Williams.
• World Wildlife Fund HK has information on their conservation projects in Hong Kong.

Expedition help:

• National Geographic's Education Department has great resources for both educators and students. Some of their initiatives, like The Great Nature Project or Bioblitzes, are similar to the HKEI so they have many tutorials and learning activities relevant to conducting your own HKEI expedition.

Research help:

• Purdue University in the US has a very useful Online Writing Lab that explains how to conduct academic research.
• Cal Poly Pomona, a US university, has a tutorial on how to select reputable sources.
