+This species appears to be most numerous in shaded shallow streams with
+clear, fast-flowing water, rocky substratum, and accumulations of leaf-litter, which serve as
+shelter and food[(#1)]. The water it lives often appears tea-coloured, with a pH of 6.5-7.0[(#1)]. It is never found
+in polluted waters and seems to be relatively stenotopic[(#1)]. Two collected specimens were
+obtained from '... under large stones at the edge of a small stream at an altitude of
